Nuru means “ inner light” in Kiswahili, it refers to the glow a person has from within reflective of being healthy and/or happy, it is a beautiful compliment to receive.

It is the first of our product line, our simplest formulation packed with antioxidants, anti- inflammatory and healing properties.

We did not want to burden our first-time customers with having to choose and omit products they are already using. So why not create a product that can “boost” and “support” what you already have going on, but also works wonderfully on its own.

The intention behind Nuru was to create a product that was gentle on the skin, and could easily compliment your existing routine. An oil-serum that could softly tackle hyperpigmentation, blemishes and inhibit breakouts caused by external stressors.

This non-comedogenic lightweight formulation leaves your skin feeling nourished and healthy, with a non-greasy finish that also works great as a base for your makeup due to its quick absorption. It can be used in combination and independently and will still deliver on its promise.

Nuru was formulated with a lot of care and love by our founder who herself struggles with the remnants of her battle with hormonal acne. A little goes a long with with Nuru, and it is designed to last four weeks when used as per the instructions. Within these four weeks your skin will experience small transformation during that time.
